St Gabriel's National School

Pictured left is our Parents Room, which is a space within the school specifically for parents, for meetings, coffee mornings, classes and much more.

The room is available during the school day for parents to drop in for a chat or a cuppa!

Pictured right is Niall, our Home School Community Liason Coordinator.
Niall's office is located just inside the main door of the school- just drop in!

The HSCL Teacher works with parents/guardians in the following ways:
Visiting parents/guardians in their homes;

• Organising courses, talks or meetings for parents/ guardians in to the school; Example: Computer Classes

• Involving parents/guardians in their children's education;

• Encouraging closer ties between teachers, schools and the parents;

• Introducing parents into the classroom in projects with teachers, such as "Shared Reading" and "Maths for Fun" which all involved teamwork between home and school.
