Gabriel's win 1st Prize in FAI Art Competition
St Gabriel's 5th Class won 1st prize in the FAI Football Against Racism
Art Competition with a project on South Africa.

Also the St Gabriel' s Boys A Team werre Runners-up in the Football Blitz Final, losing to St Laurence O'Toole's NS.

Gabriel's Kids lead Bohemians FC out to victory
On Tuesday 20th October, children from 5th/6th class from St Gabriel's N.S., who have been taking part in a week of FARE/ 'Show Racism the Red Card' activities, led the Bohemians team onto the pitch at Dalymount.
The night saw Bohs beat St Pats 3-1! The night was made even better by a Rovers loss to Cork city. The kids had a great night!

School Garden
A new ' School Garden' for the children in St Gabriel's NS has been built.
Next week 19th-24th Oct, the children will plant their flower bulbs, which we hope will appear in Springtime. Parents are welcome to come in and watch their children planting their flowers.
We hope that parents will encourage the kids and that parents might drop in and see their children planting veg and flowers during the year!

FARE Week FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe) Week:
FARE week takes place October 15th - 27th
St Gabriel's NS with the FAI & Bohemian's Football Club are taking part in the week's events.
The plan of events is as follows:
October 12th: Show Racism the Red Card presentation in School for 5th & 6th Class
October 20th: Children from St Gabriel's NS will lead Bohemians FC onto the pitch as they take on St Pats FC. and will be cheered on by their parents, who will receive free tickets.
October 23rd:
FARE WEEK/Show Racism the Red Card Soccer Blitz
Girls and Boys from 5th and 6th class will take part in a Soccer Blitz against other local schools in Aughrim St Sports Centre between 9.30am-12 noon.
Parents welcome to come along and cheer them on!
October 30th:
O'Devaney/Dunard will play half time exhibition match during the Bohemians FC match in Dalymount.
6th Class Transfer to Secondary

New School Office
The school office has now moved and is now located just down the corridor. We now have a bright newly decorated principals office and reception room upstairs.
Interactive whiteboards
The children are thrilled with the new interactive whiteboards in Mr Gallaghers 6th, Ms McLoone's 2nd, Ms Patterson's Junior Infants and Ms Whyte's 1st class rooms.
They are a wonderful asset to our school and will further enhance the children's learning experience.
